Q: How is my Colocated Server connected to the Internet?

Premium Level3 Colocated servers are connected through a 100mb Ethernet connection.
Budget Colocated servers are connected through a 10mb Ethernet connection.

Q: Do I need to provide my own switch or hub when connecting my servers or network equipment?

No, your servers will be connected to our switches. However customers may choose to provide their own switches or firewalls when implementing multi tiered server environments. *Extra fees apply when adding more devices.

Q: Will you install my server for me if I live out of state/country?

Yes, just ship it via FedEx or UPS. Ensure you get a receipt, tracking number and proper insurance value for your hardware.

Q: How big is 1U?

1.75". Racks are a standard 19 inches wide, with depth to 80cm.

Q: What if my server has a problem while it's colocated at your location?

You can try to remote reboot the server yourself. If that failed we can set an appointment to work on your server for you, or meet you at the facility. *Escort/Helping hand fees may apply.

Q: Do I need to provide rack rails for my equipment?

Yes, or you can purchase rails or shelving from us. We stock rail kits in for 1U, 2U, 3U, 4U, and shelves.

Q: Do you allow hosting of Spam type email services?

No. Oplink.net has a ZERO tolerance for SPAM. We do not promote nor support companies who send out spam.

Q: Are your facilities carrier neutral?

Yes. This means that you can get internet connections from other providers in our facilities.
